Vex only lasts for a limited time. They begin dealing damage approximately 30 seconds after summoning and can last up to 119 seconds after summoning. This rule does not apply to Vexs summoned by the player via commands or eggs in creative mode.
Since the Vex are mud raiders, players can trap them with minecarts or boats, then safely kill them from a distance. Also very useful against Shield Vex. If you block Vex’s attack, you’ll see an opening for an attack.
